After completing her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Informatics at the University of Tokyo in 2012, she joined Samsung Electronics in Korea, where she worked in new business development and UX design. She left the company in 2017, and after working as a specially-appointed researcher for the JST Kawahara ERATO Universal Information Network Project at the University of Tokyo, she has been a visiting associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Design, Hosei University, since 2020. Her research on understanding and creating value in changing emotional experiences through interaction has been awarded by Innovative Technology, Interaction 2018/2022 Presentation Award, ACM UIST/IEEE Robosoft Best Demonstration Award, among others.
